CounterSpeech prepares replies in your voice before you open the app. You review, edit if you want, then click Reply or Post yourself — nothing is auto-posted.

No developer settings required. New accounts need an access key — write to [email protected]. Returning approved users log in with email and password only.

Setup

Six steps, once.

After the first run, opening the app is the only thing you need to remember.

  1. 01

    Install the app

    Download the build for your operating system and open it. Gatekeeper on macOS or SmartScreen on Windows may ask you to confirm the first launch.

  2. 02

    Create an account or log in

    New to the beta? Enter the private access key we sent you, then create an account with email and password. Already have an approved account? Tap “Already have an account? Log in” and use email and password only — no key on this device.

  3. 03

    Connect your public handle

    Add your public X @handle — not your X password. Access opens after a short review by us, usually the same day.

  4. 04

    Sign in to X inside the app

    When X asks you to sign in, use your X username and password. Avoid the Google button and passkeys — they get stuck in embedded browsers.

  5. 05

    Review, then post

    While the day's replies are being prepared you will see “Preparing today's replies in your voice…” The first action opens on its own when it is ready. Edit anything you like, then click Reply or Post yourself.

  6. 06

    Move through the queue

    Press Done — or let the app detect the post — to advance. Close the app whenever you want; your progress resumes where you left it.

Privacy & trust

What the app does, and does not, do.

No auto-posting

CounterSpeech never publishes for you. You always click Reply or Post yourself.

X credentials stay on your device

Your X login lives in the app's local browser session. We never collect or store your X password.

Public handle only

Your public X @handle and public posts may be used for your voice profile and personalisation.

You can always edit

Every generated draft can be rewritten, trimmed, or skipped before you publish it.

Support and password help

The private beta runs on the desktop app — web sign-in is not the invite path.
