Community Guidelines
Last updated: 2026-08-12
CounterSpeech is built for deliberate, human-reviewed speech — not automation theater. These guidelines explain how we handle content safety during private beta.
How CounterSpeech handles safety
- AI drafts are suggestions — starting points, never final speech published by the app.
- You must review before posting — AI-generated draft. Review and edit before posting. Nothing is posted automatically.
- You publish on X — you remain responsible for anything you publish on X.
- Reporting path — report harmful, inaccurate, or off-voice drafts in the app, or email [email protected].
- Account enforcement — accounts can be paused or disabled for misuse, abuse, or security risk.
Prohibited uses
Do not use CounterSpeech to create or promote:
- Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse
- Hate speech or dehumanizing content
- Impersonation or deceptive identity
- Illegal content or activity
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation, including CSAM — see Child Safety Standards
- Spam, scams, or coordinated inauthentic engagement
Follow X's rules and applicable law. Violations may result in lost beta access.
Child safety
CounterSpeech is not designed for children. The intended audience is 18+. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse, exploitation, grooming, or CSAM. Report concerns to [email protected]. Full standards: Child Safety Standards.
What we do not claim
CounterSpeech does not eliminate hate, perfectly verify truth, or guarantee that every draft is accurate. Your review and judgment are required.
